Inspiration & Brainstorming
Development of an original concept.

Research/Documentation
Finding resources of images that may be useful to assist the artist in development stages. In some research it is neccesary to arrange photoshoots or live model sessions.

Preliminary Sketches
Multiple series of drawings created before a painting is started. These drawings help the artist find the strongest perspective and composition.

Prep and Prime
Building frames to stretch canvas around or constructing boards to paint on.

Organic surfaces such as cloth, papers, wood and metals all deteriate with time. To ensure the longevity of a masterpiece, it is neccessary to prime all organic surfaces properly.
As a collector, it is important to observe or ask the artist if their work is primed first. There are many instances when collectors have invested thousands of dollars on art that will deteriorate because it was not properly preserved.

Final Product
After completion of the final drawing and construction of the canvas/board, the artist spends several hours creating his/her work. Although the artist should have a blueprint or idea in mind of his/her creation, challenges can occur during the creative process. The work can be very tasking and require the artist to take recess before continuing his/her masterpiece.
