"... The first cotton plant, depicts the actual enslavement of Africans. At the very top of the first plant, in the boll, is the overseer yelling for the slave labor below to move faster. Off in the distance, the third cotton plant is chained to a mass of people, as the destiny between the cotton and Africans become intertwined, resulting in as many as 1.8 million Africans working exclusively on cotton plantations."
